July 4th

We were concerned on the 4th of July because all it did that morning was RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. Erin wanted to go swimming, we all got our swimsuits on and as we walked out the door the rain started. It didn't seem like it was ever going to stop. Since we were homebound due to the rain, Erin decided to get her "Rock Star" costume out and run around the house singing. She was really shaking her booty, which you can see in a couple of the photos posted... It was so funny. She loves to sing - anytime she has that microphone, she is singing. She'll even sing about walking out to the car. We may have a musical talent on our hands! Ruth is diligently trying to crawl, but can't seem to get moving forward. She usually belly flops once her knees go out from her and then she fishtails around an area moving from toy to toy until she gets so frustrated she starts crying.

We went to visit our friend Diane after nap time. Most of the people she had over had left before we showed up. The Eagin's were there (Matt, Kindra and Sean). Some friends of Diane's that we did not know were there too. After Diane's house, we went to hang out for a little while at Matt and Kindra's and ate dessert! Unfortunately, most fireworks displays had been cancelled due to the inclement weather. Sean, Erin, Matt and Geoff went outside to play while Kindra, Ruth and myself hung out inside. We definitely got the better end of that bargain because it was so muggy. Erin came inside and her hair had completely curled up even more than normal.
